How to Claim Your Provider Profile

Learn how to claim and manage your provider profile on My Child Care Plan using either desktop or mobile devices.

Before You Start

  • You must be either:

    • A licensed child care provider, OR

    • A license exempt center

  • Have your business name or license number ready

  • Estimated time: 5-10 minutes

Important Information

All licensed child care providers and license exempt centers can be listed on My Child Care Plan and be found by families searching for child care. Claiming your profile allows you to:

  • Update your program information directly

  • Add photos and descriptions

  • Manage your vacancy information

  • Control your contact details

Steps to Claim Your Profile

  1. Access the Provider Profile Claim Page

    • Click "I'm a child care provider."

  2. Find Your Business

    • Enter your business name OR license number in the search field

    • Click/tap "Search"

  3. Select Your Business

    • Click/tap "View Details" next to your business listing

    • If you don't see your business, contact our support team for assistance

  4. Claim Your Profile

    • Look for info button next to "Unclaimed" status

    • Click it to expand the window and click on the link

  5. Set Up Your Account

    • Create your username

    • Set a secure password

  6. Verify Your Account

    • Choose your preferred verification method:

      • Phone

      • Email

      • Cell phone

    • Enter the verification code you receive

    • Click/tap "Verify"

Why can't I claim my profile?

Common reasons include:

You are newly licensed

The profile has already been claimed

  • Someone may have already claimed this profile

  • Solution: Contact us to verify ownership

Your contact information is incorrect or outdated

  • Your listing may have an outdated phone number, cell phone, or email address

  • This prevents you from receiving the verification code needed to complete the claim process

  • Solution: Contact your local R&R to update your contact information in their database, then try claiming again
